Priory Park Lewes
The site of the Priory of St Pancras is managed by Lewes Priory Trust which is a registered charity. Apart from a maintenance grant from Lewes Town Council, the Trust is depended on members’ subscriptions and donations from the public.
Visitors may explore Lewes Priory at their convenience throughout the week. Access is open and free of charge. There is a free leaflet and a Guide Book available from the Tourist Information Centre, Barbican House Museum and Anne of Cleves House. The leaflet is also available in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese and Vietnamese.
In addition there is a free Lewes Priory History Trail leaflet which covers locations in the town associated with the Priory.
Information Panels are sited at key points around the site. There is also a free leaflet on the Herb Garden and information sheets on site in the garden. You may also access the Audio Guide.
Guided tours are available by reservation for interested groups. These tours are available on a limited basis, subject to the availability of a guide. Application should be made to firstname.lastname@example.org. The charge will be £3 per person, with a minimum charge of £15. The fee is payable by cheque or cash to Lewes Priory Trust. Payment can be given to the guide or cheques sent to Lewes Priory Trust, Lewes Town Hall, High Street, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 2QS.
Our guides will provide free tours on the Heritage Open Day in September and other occasions. Please check the website www.lewespriory.org.uk for dates and times. Donations will be welcome.
